International Project Meeting of Partners in Prague

At the end of last week, the third international project meeting of the partners of the Erasmus+ project AGEADAPT - Adapting SMEs to the Ageing Workforce, which aims to develop the potential of 55+ workers in SMEs, took place in the Czech Republic. On 22n and 23rd September 2022, project partners from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovenia and Spain met in Prague to summarise the results of the work done so far on the first two project outputs and to elaborate further parts of the project concerning simple training tools to help the target groups adapt to the rapidly changing labour market conditions. Among other things, the two-day meeting included a workshop, led by a Spanish participant, on the basis of which inspirational educational materials for companies will be developed by all partners. And under the leadership of one of the Czech partners, another project output was developed, which will be short micro-learning videos designed specifically for workers 55+. The meeting also included further necessary discussions on project organisation and dissemination of project results. At the end of the meeting, all project partners agreed that they found the event very fruitful and look forward to further cooperation in the next project period.

Summary report on the current state of age-management

In the framework of the international project AGEADAPT, realised under the Erasmus+ program and focused on the ageing workforce, a "Summary report on the current state of age-management", which maps the situation in 5 partner countries in small and medium-sized enterprises, has been produced. As the analysis of data in all partner countries shows, age-management and the adaptation of seniors to work is a very important topic and all stakeholders are increasingly aware that good policies to this extent can be very beneficial. There is a growing awareness of the need for systematic age-management in SMEs. The number of seniors is growing every year, our society is aging and therefore it is important to apply age-management in every organization, not just in some of them.  Many managers and those responsible for the recruitment and adaptation of new employees in the workplace are still not sufficiently aware of age-management. This document forms the basis for the creation of a set of best practices on age management, a handbook with a set of practical tools for owners and managers of SMEs, and a digital learning platform on age-management. A shorter version of the document can be found here Full version of the document can be found here
