The LTTA, attended by representatives from project partners in the Czech Republic, Romania, and Spain, featured practical exercises covering essential emotional intelligence tools. The school's director, Juan Carlos, inaugurated the training with a warm welcome and a captivating student performance. The event not only showcased the commitment of participating partners but also highlighted the practical applicability of emotional intelligence tools in everyday teaching practices. The schedule included: Testing of communication, emotional self-awareness, and critical thinking tools. Practical exercises on empathy, motivation, problem-solving, and social skills. Fourth Project Meeting in Granada, Spain

On the last days of May (29.-30.5.2023), the project consortium of the international European project EIFNEG: Emotional intelligence as a basis for the educational and personal development of the new European generation met for the fourth time, this time in the historic Spanish city of Granada. This meeting was also attended for the first time in person by a representative of the Portuguese organisation ASDPESO, with whom contact was again successfully re-established. For this reason, the already finalised first project result "Search for the Perfect Menu", led by the Spanish school Colegio Séneca, was discussed again at the beginning of the meeting. After the input from the Portuguese partner, it will be possible to officially close this work package and to complete the translation of some of its parts, namely the summary report of the workshops and the definition of the 10 key areas of emotional intelligence into all partner languages (Czech, Romanian, Spanish and Portuguese). The second project deliverable "Choosing the Best Ingredients", or in other words a handbook for teachers, is also complete in terms of content. It is now in the phase of final review and evaluation by the project's "non-school" partners and testing by the project's "school" partners. According to the agreed plan, all work should be completed by the end of June 2023 so that the document can

Second transnational meeting of the EIFNEG consortium

The project partners of the international project EIFNEG - EMOCAL INTELLIGENCE FOR A NEW EUROPEAN GENERATION, which is implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, met for the second time at a joint meeting today 6.6., unfortunately not in the originally planned Portuguese city of Braga, but online. In addition to various organisational issues, the meeting discussed in particular the work and efforts made so far on the first project deliverable, which includes a summary report on the situation regarding the status of emotional intelligence in schools in different European countries. The research conducted so far in the Czech Republic, Romania and Spain has shown that emotional intelligence is generally not included in the school curriculum, not enough mental health programmes are organised in schools and teachers in particular would need training on this topic and how to pass it on. In the following period, the project partners will elaborate the results of surveys among students and teachers in the project partners' countries and select 10 key areas of emotional intelligence, on the basis of which the project partners will then develop innovative educational materials on this topic for both students and teachers in the following period. Stay tuned to our communication channels to learn more about further project results!
